Just found out my parents’ house is on the verge of flooding in Brandon. They’re doing some sort of emergency sandbagging in the Kirkcaldy area, if you’re in Brandon and able to, please help:

Volunteers Required for Immediate Sandbagging
Brandon, MB –
The City of Brandon is requesting volunteers to provide immediate assistance with sandbagging. Volunteers are requested to meet on the main floor of City Hall, 410-9th Street. Parking is available in the City Hall Parking lot or the former Safeway lot at 10th Street and Victoria Avenue. Please use the Louise Avenue door of City Hall.
Any volunteer under the age of 18 years will require written parental consent. Forms are available at City Hall.
Transportation will be arranged from City Hall to and from the location as parking is unavailable and unadvisable at the site.
Volunteers will begin leaving City Hall at about 1:30 p.m. and approximately every hour as required thereafter.
Appropriate clothing consists of: long sleeved shirts; long legged pants; work boots or appropriate water resistant footwear; and gloves.
